Terms of Participation & Informed Consent
By registering for or participating in a DanzaMedicina workshop or retreat, you confirm that you have read and understood these Terms of Participation & Informed Consent and agree to comply with all the guidelines, rules, and conditions described in this document.
GENERAL PROVISIONS
a) The activities proposed are intended to promote self-knowledge, not being able to replace or complement any diagnostics, treatments, therapies, medication, cure or prevention of diseases
b) The participant agrees to comply with all instructions, guidelines, and warnings provided by DanzaMedicina and its duly authorized representatives throughout all sessions, practices, group activities, and other event activities. Failure to comply with these instructions may result in the participant's removal from a specific activity or, when deemed necessary, the termination of her participation in the event at the sole discretion of DanzaMedicina, without any entitlement to a full or partial refund of the amounts paid.

d) This Terms replace any other verbal or written understandings between the parties regarding the object of this agreement
HEALTH CONDITIONS
a) The participant is responsible for acting with due care for her own physical safety and well-being and agrees to exercise good judgment and personal responsibility throughout the event.
b) The participant shall accurately and truthfully complete the Participant Intake & Health History Form and comply with DanzaMedicina's guidelines to help ensure her safe and healthy participation in the event.
c) The participant is responsible for her own health and medical conditions, especially with regard to any chronic or pre-existing conditions, whether or not they have been disclosed in the Participant Intake & Health History Form.
d) The participant declares that she will not use any illegal substances or any prescription medications that have not been previously disclosed in the Participant Intake & Health History Form during her participation in DanzaMedicina events.
e) The participant shall inform DanzaMedicina or the local organizing team in advance of any health condition requiring special dietary accommodations so that the feasibility of accommodating such dietary needs may be assessed.
f) The participant acknowledges that, due to the location of the event, immediate medical assistance may be limited or unavailable.
g) The participant authorizes DanzaMedicina and its duly authorized representatives, in the event of an emergency or when deemed necessary, to provide appropriate first aid and, when available, arrange for transportation or referral to the nearest appropriate medical facility.
h) The participant agrees to comply with all safety rules, procedures, and instructions established by DanzaMedicina and the event venue.
i) DanzaMedicina shall not be liable for any injury, loss, damage, or accident resulting from the participant's voluntary actions, negligence, recklessness, or failure to comply with the instructions and guidelines provided during the event.
j) If the participant voluntarily decides to leave the event before its conclusion, she must notify DanzaMedicina or the local organizing team in advance. From the moment of her voluntary departure, the participant assumes full responsibility for her own safety and for any consequences arising from that decision. DanzaMedicina shall not be liable for any physical or psychological harm resulting from the participant's early departure.
COPYRIGHT, INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY, AND CONFIDENTIALITY
a) The participant grants DanzaMedicina the irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free right to use, reproduce, publish, edit, distribute, and otherwise exploit any photographs, audio recordings, or video recordings taken during the event in which the participant's image, voice, or likeness appears, for educational, documentary, institutional, promotional, or other lawful purposes. DanzaMedicina may also assign or license these rights to third parties at its sole discretion.
b) The participant acknowledges that all teachings, methodologies, practices, written materials, audiovisual content, and any other content presented during the event are the exclusive intellectual property of DanzaMedicina and may not be recorded, reproduced, distributed, published, taught, adapted, used for commercial purposes, or incorporated, in whole or in part, into other courses, trainings, services, or professional activities without the prior written authorization of DanzaMedicina.
c) The participant shall not photograph, film, audio record, livestream, or otherwise record any facilitated sessions, practices, group activities, or content presented during the event without the prior authorization of DanzaMedicina.
d) The participant acknowledges that the event may involve the sharing of personal, emotional, and confidential experiences by other participants. The participant agrees to respect the privacy and confidentiality of everyone present and shall not disclose confidential information, personal stories, or any content that identifies or may identify another participant without that participant's prior express consent.
The sharing of official photographs, videos, or other materials provided or authorized by DanzaMedicina is permitted, provided that such sharing respects the privacy, dignity, and integrity of the other participants.
e) The participant shall not produce or publish, without the prior written authorization of DanzaMedicina, any report, documentary, research project, journalistic, academic, commercial, promotional, or other material whose primary subject is the event, its activities, methodologies, content, or any other intellectual property of DanzaMedicina.
f) The obligations relating to confidentiality and the protection of DanzaMedicina's intellectual property shall survive the conclusion of the event.
PARTICIPANT'S COMMITMENTS
a) The participant is responsible for bringing, storing, and safeguarding her personal belongings. DanzaMedicina is not responsible for any personal property that is lost, damaged, or forgotten during the event.
b) The participant agrees to remain with the group from the beginning until the end of the event. If she chooses not to participate in any proposed activity, she must inform the DanzaMedicina team in advance.
c) The participant agrees to immediately inform DanzaMedicina or the local organizing team of any conduct or condition that may endanger herself or others.
d) The participant agrees to complete the Participant Intake & Health History Form accurately and truthfully. She declares that all information provided is true and complete to the best of her knowledge. DanzaMedicina shall not be responsible for any consequences resulting from false, inaccurate, or incomplete information.
e) The participant shall not use, possess, or distribute any illegal substances or any psychoactive substances during the event, regardless of their legal status in the country where the event takes place. The only exception is psychoactive medication that has been lawfully prescribed by a licensed healthcare professional and disclosed to the DanzaMedicina team in the Participant Intake & Health History Form.
f) The participant shall not administer, share, offer, or recommend prescription or over-the-counter medications, herbal remedies, supplements, or any other substances to other participants without the prior written authorization of DanzaMedicina.
g) The participant shall not provide or offer any form of therapeutic, medical, psychological, bodywork, healing, or other professional service to other participants unless expressly authorized by DanzaMedicina.
h) The participant acknowledges that DanzaMedicina reserves the right to terminate the participant's participation in the event if her conduct is deemed to pose a risk to herself, other participants, the facilitators, or the integrity of the event.
CANCELLATION POLICY
a) Participant-Initiated Cancellation Policy for Events Organized Directly by DanzaMedicina: Cancellations requested by the participant 60 (sixty) days or more before the start of the event are eligible for a full refund, less a 10% administrative fee. Cancellations requested between 30 (thirty) and 59 (fifty-nine) days before the event are eligible for a 50% (fifty percent) refund of the amount paid. Cancellations requested between 15 (fifteen) and 29 (twenty-nine) days before the event are eligible for a 30% (thirty percent) refund of the amount paid. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made less than 14 (fourteen) days before the start of the event, as all operational costs will have already been committed and it is unlikely that the participant's place can be filled in time.
b) Participant-Initiated Cancellation Policy for International Events Organized by an Independent Host or Partner Organization: International events organized by an independent host or partner organization are subject to the cancellation, refund, transfer, and rescheduling policies established by the local host or organizing partner. By registering for such an event, the participant acknowledges and agrees to those policies. In many cases, participant cancellations, no-shows, or withdrawals are not eligible for a refund, in accordance with the host’s policy.
c) Transfer of Registration: A participant's registration may be transferred to another person, provided that the replacement is communicated to the DanzaMedicina team and approved before the beginning of the event.
d) Return policy in case of unforseeable circumstances of force majeure: Neither party will be held responsible. (i) The participant may request a refund of 100% (one hundred percent) of the amount in up to 10 (ten) calendar days after the official announcement of cancellation by DanzaMedicina or after official announcement of a new date for the event. The announcements will be made through the email informed in the Application Form; (ii) After the 10-day term, the will be applied the “Return policy in case of cancellation requested by the participant”, according to item “c” above; (iii) If it occurs after the start of the event: there will be no refund, but an option to reschedule the dates or offer an alternative service, proportional to the damages incurred by each party. In no event will DanzaMedicina cover any administrative costs, fees, charges, tickets, accommodation or food resulting from unforeseeable circumstances or force majeure. In either case, the vacancy is transferable as long as communicated to the DanzaMedicina prior to the start date of the activities.
